A unique trip by 4x4 in Ipsarion (1204 m.) the highest mountain in Thassos. Enjoy the unique tranquility of Panagouda, a historic monastery built over a water spring. The water flows through the interior of the church all year round! We drive off-road through rich forests, almost covering the sky. As we change altitude a Summer breeze cools us! We pass by terrific rock formations created after volcanic activity 10000 years ago. Enjoy a delicious picnic & admire the amazing 360 degrees panorama from the top peak of Thassos. Take a stroll in Theologos and admire the old capital of Thassos and many stops to admire the stone marble made houses built in early 1800.

We are a family of four with 2 teenage boys We went on the 4x4 jeep safari with Yannis, our tour guide. Yannis is good company, very knowledgeable and a good laugh. This was the highlight of everyone's holiday. Something for everyone. Learning about local culture and traditions, beutiful scenery in the villages and out in the forests and waterfalls. Some great pictures and memorys. The meal at the end was delicious with very friendly hosts too. I would highly recommend this trip to everybody.
